Hopeless Beggar Written April 21st 2011 by

It’s hopeless!
I am like a hungry man
Who finds no fruits left
On the trees and grapes on the
vine;
All the grapes and all the tasty
figs
Have been picked.
It is so touching that people will
not believe
I am in need in the mist of
abundance.
But it is so unfortunate
That sometimes when the problems of
life
And the tribulations of life
engulfs me,
I become helpless and greatly in
need.
Begging is like a coin;
It is either you are given what you
need,
Or you are not given at all.
It is a difficult task
And so disappointing
That one will never think of doing.
How can fortune favour fools
When they rush in where angels fear
to tread?
People doubt me when I beg
And fail to give to me
When I am in need
Because they think I am too loaded
to beg.
But they fail to understand
That I’m in need-they think I am
joking.
So they fail to help me in my
helpless situation.
So many troubles have fallen on me
That I am close to death
And forgotten to be helped.
Friends have abandoned me
And my eyes are weak from
suffering.
All my strength is gone!
And I am filled with tear and
sorrow
Because life has given sorrow to
eat
And a large cup of tear to drink.
